Start your practice today

If you are like other physicians, practicing medicine is about your patients, not billing, regulations, and EMRs. But you’ve had this dream for so long. This desire to do something different. Break the mold and help your patients the right way. Your way.

But as you know, it’s not that easy. The paper work, the systems, the financial models, the analysis, the regulations.

If you have been thinking about starting your own practice for years but never pulled the trigger. Or if you have finally had it with the hospital or private equity trying to squeeze every last RVU out of you, throwing you a cold slice of pizza, and then making you feel like you should be thanking them.

Then get out. We have a 4 phased process to help you launch fast, launch right, and set you up for success. Stop waiting.

Because next year, you’ll wish you started today.

Phase 1 - Strategic Planning

Starting is the hardest part. Usually, it’s because you don’t have a road map. Plus every one has been lying to you, telling you that doctors are bad at business. Chumps. You’re going to be amazing. Bad to the A. You just need a map. That’s what this is. A plan that gives you a clear path from zero to one.

  • Reimbursement modeling

Knowing what you are going to be paid can be hard. And without knowing, it may stall your progress. We take out the guesswork, by doing some very complicated math, weighting, spreadsheet building, and CPT code scraping. It’s not fun, but we love it.

  • Detailed financial modeling

Oh you thought we were done after the reimbursement modeling? No, no. Time to look at expenses, overhead, capital investments, ramp ups, projections, salaries, and all that. We told you, we love it though. And then you get a full picture of the financial possibilities of your practice.

  • Business model and operations analysis

Numbers are looking good, time to put some more meat on the plan bones. This part of the planning gives you a written plan for everything from service lines to staffing, complinace considerations, and how to manage risk. It’s good. You’re good. We’re good together.

  • Location assessment and recommendations

Where are you going to put the thing? Be a hospital? Near a busy part of town? Out in the sticks? Free parking?

We look at all of it. Not to mention the Medicare population, demographics, incomes levels. These things matter when building your new practice.

Phase 2 - Administrative Setup

We know. Admin. Blech. Well, this is your show now. You get to be the hero. We’re here to help. We’re also here to be honest. This part is painful.

Documents flying. Tracking enrollments with payers. Making you update your CAQH and wrestling your login information back from the health system. And we know you aren’t super excited about writing a several hundred page HIPAA manual.

But we know that you know that for some reason, we love it. And it’s important. The government generally frowns on HIPAA violations. We have your back though. Let’s get this thing set up right!

  • You’ve got one. Does your practice? We’ll get all your NPI ducks in a row. From access to new registrations. And making sure your taxonomies are right. Like we said, fun.

  • This is the really terrible part. Because let’s face it, insurance companies make everything difficult. That’s also why we have a set process and system to get your enrollments kicked-off and in process early. It’s still painful, but we’ll suffer together.

  • This is your insurance. Malpractice, professional, general, umbrellas, cyber. Right, more insurance. Joy. We work with top shelf folks to get you what you need. They aren’t quite as fun as we are, but then again, who is?

  • This part is here just to scare you. Just kidding. It’s not that bad. We make sure you are buttoned up and checking all the boxes. Since insurance conglomerates can self-refer, but you can’t. We’ll make sure you aren’t anywhere near the line.

  • You need a compliance plan. You need a HIPAA plan and manual. Good thing we have a compliance officer on our team who reads HIPAA manuals for fun.

Phase 3 - Operations Setup

Online presence

Listen, if you don’t have a website you don’t exist. Well, you exist, but your business doesn’t. You need one, we’ll help you get one.

People, polices, and process

Your people are important. The fastest way to frustrate them and lead to a turnover problem is a lack of definition around roles and processes. We help establish the processes, onboarding, training, and awesome t-shirts you should give your team when they start. Trust us, they’ll love it.

Workflows

Clinical, foot traffic, where to put the scale. It’s all a workflow. We’ve been around the block and know where to put the scale. We’ll help you design your clinics multiple workflows in the most efficient way that also doesn’t make you feel like Lucy on the chocolate conveyor belt line. Ya, we’re that old.

EHR

Or EMR. Or that thing you kinda hate but have to live with. We’ll help you find the one you hate the least. And then make sure you’re trained on it so well that it doesn’t matter how much you hate it because you’re so darn good at it.

Revenue Cycle Management

We want you to get paid, the most, the fastest. We’ll help you set up reporting, dashboards, all that stuff so you can make sure those alleged payers are paying you what they owe. And on time. Did we mention we are an RCM company too? Funny coincidence.

Financial and operations management

Not us, you. You are in charge now. Make sure the finances are right. Make sure the operations run. Do that (on top of taking amazingly great care of your patients, which goes without saying even though we just said it) and you’re clinic is going to be awesome because it’s all yours. Will get you pointed in the right direction.

Phase 4 - Launch

Go-to-market strategy

Sound as cool as your doctor friend who stopped practicing and went to work for that one venture backed heatlhtech thing that no one it totally sure about what they do. But also, get a plan on how to launch your practice so it gains momentum and doesn’t sit empty for months.

Launch campaigns

They say first impressions are everything. Well, we say that momentum is everything. But we also know the more the merrier, so why not both? And if you’re sick of these proverbs, we understand. We design launch plans that are focused and effective.

Ongoing campaign design

Great, you’re open! You even got a few patients. Solid start. But don’t fall into the valley of death. Initial flow that slows to a trickle. Ongoing campaigns mean the difference between a full panel in your first year and wondering if you are going make it past year two.
